Happy as a duck, I moved in August to my very first house, complete with not one but two little yards. I've been going all out with landscaping: transplanting huge shrubs, sowing a new lawn ("Grow little lawn, grow!"), putting in perennials and bulbs, laying a brick patio. Phew! I'm looking forward to a well-deserved winter break.

I'm an eager beginner gardener; 2004 will be my first full season, and the litmus test of how truly addicted I am.

I found GardenWeb during a search for 'Shark Fin Melon' seeds. From commercial growers to paid Google researchers, no one had a clue as to what they were or where to find them -- except GardenWeb readers. Thanks to their generous response, my mom could grow these rare melons, and I found GardenWeb.
