Been growing orchids since 1980, and on the forum for several years. Favourites are Catts. Used to live in Seattle, then moved back to UK with my plants. CITES was easy, though took a while for paperwork, but US and UK import and export folks very helpful once they realised the labour of love (madness)! Pet hates, vendors selling BS plants that are BS-1 or BS-2. Pet loves Catts - did I mention these? Have grown orchids indoors for 24 years, but now own a greenhouse. Grow Catts, Phals, Vandas/Ascdas, Paphs, Stans and a few other genera. Best tip - get the environment right (light & heat) and all else will follow.
