Hi
I am no expert, but... I am an avid gardener and very excited about finally owning my own home. I am always looking to learn more, for info on what plants I do have, plants that are inexpensive, etc...
Finally I have begun to embellish the beauty of my own yard - instead of so many (albeit thankful) landlord's gardens!
I am 36.5 yrs old - and have been planting things everywhere I have lived since about the age of 19. In the early years, I had more money than brains & did a lot of annual gardens. Now-a-days... thank goodness that trend has reversed (though I would take the money part, too!).
We moved in the fall of 2001 - and to tell you the truth - I had a terrible case of stage fright. All that sod - I did not even know where to put my tulip bulbs (the only thing I brought with me in the move)! I did not plant them... until the following spring!
2002 I planted many things. Many perrenials - which I am reaping the rewards of this year - 2003.
I live in Port Hope, Ontario... which sits right on the north side Lake Ontario across from Rochester, New York.
I also paint (acrylic), do stained glass & hope to do some mosaics with left over bits of glass this summer. My honey is an accomplished landscape artist... he does beautiful water, foliage, skies...
Sadly we both work full time to pay the mortgage & bills - hoping to one day retire to our arts, backyard, the nice days & local community.
I would be very happy to be in touch with any local gardeners of Northumberland County!

I live in: Canada

My zone is: z5 Ont CA

First registered on June 01,2003.
