I am a landscape architect who was born and raised west of Chicago and since lived and worked in several areas of the US: Norfolk, Va., Atlanta, Ga., Rio Grande Valley of Texas and northwest Arkansas. I now live and work in central Florida, which has the best climate of all! Horticulture has been a passion since childhood and was the first degree I earned. My first business venture was selling tropical plants at a small shop in my home town. Later, besides working as a landscape architect, I worked for several years as a landscape manager for a large university in Atlanta. It was a great place to put landscape management theory to the test and I gained a lot of practical knowledge about best ways to solve landscape maintenance problems. But designing landscapes has remained the work that is my favorite and what I do now. I enjoy helping others discover ways to reach their landscape goals.
