I've been blessed/obsessed with a passion for gardening and reading about other's people's gardens for some years now. My husband and I followed our son from urban Southern California to the foothills of the Blueridge in North Georgia and purchased a little four-acre, wooded hill near a lake for my husband to fish in. I have visions, not of the muddy wasteland construction has made of our little hill, but of beautiful shady green gardens; paths winding among flowers, herbs, and fruit trees; a cool mysterious pond; and a peaceful buggy little meadow. Our new home isn't all finished yet, but it does have a basement for starting seeds over winter and walls to start planting against. Happy gardening!
