Just relocated from Lubbock, Texas (18 inches rain/year, alkaline soil) to North Carolina (60 inches rain/year, red clay). Fought the soil fight and drip system fight etc for 10 years, got a great garden going (great, that is, for a suburb back yard in that zip code). Sad to leave the plants but eager to garden with spontaneous moisture.

Having to rehab 13 yo home that had no exterior maintenance so I am mostly interested in the home repair side of the site right now. I will tune back in to the garden side when I get the house under control.
