I live in Lancaster Co, PA, with my husband. I recently retired from a local college and am looking forward to spending a lot of time at my garden here in Lancaster and at our summer house in Wrightsville, York Co, on the Susquehanna where we are creating gardens where none existed before. Lots of rocks and weeds but weve made a start. I garden organically and have good results with composting, and other organic practices. I grow mostly perennials, some annuals, and a few tomato plants at our Lancaster garden. I like to propagate perennials and annuals from seed. At our river garden, I have a raised bed vegetable garden plus a perennial border, annuals, bulbs, shrubs and trees. I completed the the Master Gardeners training in December, 2001, and I have enjoyed volunteering for the various outreach programs sponsored by the MGs. Hope to be able to use my knowledge to instill in others a love of gardening.
