My SO and I bought a house last year on 2 acres, so I am trying my hand at gardening for the first time. I was lucky enough this spring to get some plants from a friend who gardens, so I did get to enjoy some blooms this year. I am working on filling in the empty flower beds, and plan to try some winter sowing this year. Id also like to put in a small veggie garden -- Im really excited about the tomato seeds I received from wintersown.org! I also knit and enjoy watching and feeding the birds in my yard -- everything from pileated woodpeckers to chickadees!
