Mother's Day gifts?

I'm not sure if the demographic for shopping for Mother's Day gifts is right on this forum. Maybe more likely most are receiving gifts instead of giving them. But these were too beautiful to not pass on, maybe a great birthday or Christmas gift for any birders you love. I received these in the mail today, but I don't know who sent them! I suppose the whole point of Clandestine Chocolates is that you can sent them clandestinely! They are not only extremely beautiful, but the one I ate was delicious! The packaging - gorgeous, too!

Well, darn, I went to link them and see they are sold out of these, but have many other beautiful designs.

Recommending another book choice: "Wild Horses of Skydog", avail from Amazon, B & N, Skydog Sanctuary website. Photography book, history lesson, meditation on what it means to be an American and uplifting tales of horses reunited with friends and families and returned to the wild life they were taken from.

Those are pretty. I think there are a mix of mothers and daughters on these forums, so I’m sure we all appreciate good ideas.

Oh that's a beautiful variety too! I love the elongated leaves. I wonder if it was ever crossed with a Carnosa or Pubicalyx. It's so funny that you (anyone) could have several Hoyas of the same variety and they all look like different plants. I guess this could be one reason why there are so many names out there in Hoya world :-)

Thank you all! Carol he not only knows me well, he has a memory like an elephant and remembered me saying back in November that I liked the pictures of Adobe Sunrise so recognized the name when it came in. Bright & Shiny is a new release for 2020 so I can't find anything about it, it reminds me of Morden Sunrise but the bloom is almost five inches across!

I guess I was imagining that maybe most of the mothers of participants may no longer be alive or are elderly and not wanting chocolates. Or do we ever age out of wanting chocolates, lol.

Oh, no! I didn't notice that, i thought just my chocolates were sold out, but I didn't shop for others, just looked at the pics. A little more research on their page, I found this:

I used to ask DH for specific books for Christmas — often decorating books — and I would spend the day after Christmas cuddled up with my new books. Somehow we fell out of that tradition. Mothers Day will be a little weird this year because DH and I will be out of the country, so I decided to buy myself a couple of books and I plan to spend time with them this weekend.

This huge John Derian book, I mean, I don’t even care what’s inside…

We are meeting DD this coming Sunday for lunch at a halfway point (she is 2 hours away) so I’m just going to pretend Mothers Day is a week early.
